Single Fiber Solution Offers Frequency Agile Bidirectional Transceiver w/ RF Detection & Auto T/R Switching Capability
The MP-8021 series transceiver provides a highly agile solution for Systems Engineers and Network Managers to rethink classical bidirectional radio deployment architectures as well as future wireless topologies. The MP-8021 has been designed to offer a multitude of user adjustable performance parameters such that it can be used as a plug-and-play component for remoting RF signal traffic from 10 MHz to 6 GHz. The ability to adjust the MP-8021 systems characteristics such as (Gain, Noise Figure, Input Compression) allows for a neutral host solution which can be integrated with industry radio transceiver equipment spanning the commercial 3G, 4G, LTE markets as well the Unmanned Vehicle community.
A unique feature of the MP-8021 series transceiver is the integrated optical gain control circuit with an optical dynamic range of 10 dB. This feature ensures that full link performance, and rated RF power is delivered when two transceivers are connected, independent of the site to site variations that may exist in the optical cable plant.
The MP-8021 is available as a pre-configured solution optimized to integrated with radio sets such as the Piccolo Radio by Cloud Cap Technologies* (restricted and unrestricted bands), RT-1944U, and 802.11 compliant radios.
